Newborn Tips & Tricks

I'm an experienced newborn photographer so please, let me give you some tips & tricks to make your photos perfect and the shoot as efficient as possible.

First of all, please arrive on time. Any delay caused by you will reduce our reserved time for your shoot. 

When is the best time to do Newborn shoot?

In the first two weeks after birth. That's because we can easily position your baby in adorable, really typical 'newborn' poses. And your baby does this naturally.  Does it mean that it doesn't make sense to do a newborn shoot later? No, we can do newborn shoots till 3 months and after that your baby's shoot automatically falls in Baby Photography which also delivers stunning pictures.

How do we at Fotoshoot Rotterdam prepare ourselves for your Newborn shoot?

We prepare the scenery, props, toys, clothes, our equipment etc. for your newborn individual shoot. The temperature in our studio is perfect (21-22 °C ), it's quiet, nobody is disturbing us. In our studio you can easily feed your baby, change your baby's diaper, etc.

What about baby clothes, toys, props, gadgets?

Where can we do your shoot?

Everywhere. You decide where your pictures will be taken. Our studio offers the best facility because of the available dresses, props and gadgets, lighting and other equipment. But a shoot at home, in the outdoors or other location gives a special atmosphere. And I can take a lot of equipment and props with me. So your newborn pictures can be taken literally everywhere.

Which styles, themes can you choose from?

As you can see in our portfolio, you can choose literally any style, theme, story which will accopmany your maternity shoot. From colourful, 'bling-bling' & sweet to minimalistic, basic, quiet, black & white. You decide about it. Or I can make suggestions. You can combine various styles in one shoot.

What about make-up and hair styling?

Our make-up artist and our hairdresser will fully prepare you for your Newborn photo shoot. See our proposition here.

Can my family members and friends join my shoot?

Yes. Check our packages to see how many persons are included. If there are more persons to be photographed you have to choose a more extensive package. See our prices & packages Newborn Photograhy here.

Can I choose my pictures (which will be edited and delivered)?

Yes. You are the only one choosing your stunning photos. Then our photographer will edit them.

How do I receive my photos?

They will be sent digitally to you via WeTransfer. Your pictures will be professionally edited in high resolution.  

What if my newborn is outside and the weather gets worse?

Well, it seems to be a problem but it isn't. We have two options:

1. Reschedule your shoot

2. Your shoot takes place in our professional studio

We do not charge you extra for rescheduling.
